Definitely cool in the case of this camera that shoots at a trillion frames per second.

So, here’s some impressive maths. One trillion seconds equates to about 31688 years. This camera captures waves of light in real time. Soooo cool.

Improv where?

You’ve probably seen a stack of videos by the Improv Everywhere crew on YouTube. They’re the guys that pull off hilarious skits and flashmobs in public places to entertain and freak out the general public - and they’re great.

Or how many hairstyles you might go through within that time?

‘Chickflashwhirr’ has started a pretty cool blogging project - she’s decided to take a photo of herself every day for 45 years. She’s been doing this for around 5 years so far, and has made all of the photos into a video. Watch her past 5 years flash past in a matter of seconds.

Amongst Liverpool’s collection of classic art in the Walker Art Gallery you can now find its latest addition - a Bansky statue. The bust of a priest with a pixelated face entitled ‘Cardinal Sin’, appears to be a comment on corruption and scandal in the Church. Unlike his previous works in other museums around the world where he was heavily disguised and planted them without permission (see a video of his amazing prank right here), we were told that Banksy approached the Liverpool gallery about displaying his sculpture under strict instruction that it be placed in a specific wing of the Old masters. While some may find it controversial, it’s good to see that Banksy is still doing what he does best: stirring up the public.

Argentine artist Tomás Saraceno currently has his largest solo presentation to date installed at Berlin’s Hamburger Bahnhof called Cloud Cities. The incredible exhibition consist of twenty balloon structures suspended by complex webs that stretch across the massive space that used to be a train station. Each balloon houses its own ecosystem that all together, create a utopian garden. His installation invites visitors to move amongst them, with some making it possible to climb inside and float in space. Have you seen any green art lately?

These guys are super creative and their little slice of the Internet is a perfect tool for inspiration and/or procrastination.

Our favourite project from the Baku Maeda crew is Ribbonesia. Little animals, flowers and shapes made out out ribbon in a style that almost looks like origami. We want to have a go at making some of these immediately!

This very interesting and informative infographic shows us the best shapes and sizes of instant noodle cups for avoiding spillages. The graphic comes from an article titled ‘Why Burn Doctors Hate Instant Soup’. Apparently instant noodle cups send people to hospital with burns every day! Beware, uni students. Please make sure you eat your cup noodles safely, and in an upright position!

This has been a public service announcement for noodle-eaters everywhere.

Nik & Ned

We absolutely love this short doco about Nik and Ned, a man and his dog who live in the Melbourne CBD and travel by cycling together!

The Museum of Helsinki has a publication out called ‘The Postiche Collection’. It features interpretations and replicas of postiche pieces for facial hair throughout time.

After some digging around we discovered it was the work of Swedish entertainer ‘Judit & Judit’ for a promotional campaign by cable provider Com Hem in Sweden.
